Homebound ministry consists of a team of people who provide weekly visits to individual homes, a senior apartment complex, a memory care unit, a rehab center and an adult day care center. These visits take approximately 45 minutes each. They lead a communion service with song, distribute the Holy Eucharist, and visit for a brief time. This team sometimes is also asked to assist at the Beteran's Administration in Union Grove. Presently the team consists of 5 men who rotate their services. They fill two day a week with these visits, but any volunteers could choose to tailor their visits to accommodate their schedult. We can always use volunteers for this ministry, and training consists of simply meeting with the Pastoral Minister for Homebound, Sick and Aging and then accompanying the present team for observation and instruction. Background checks are required for new members of this ministry.
