The main focus of this group is to bring the healing touch of Jesus to those in need. This touch can be listening, prayer, the Eucharist and various services that show someone cares. We are mindful of the dignity of each person. Age and sickness may have destroyed the exterior beauty, but hidden within is the suffering Jesus. This ministry would not be as effective without the assistance of about 30 volunteers. These dedicated persons assist in visits and bringing Eucharist to the hospital, retirement places, nursing homes and to individual’s homes.
The discomfort of sickness and loneliness are greatly lessened because others have cared. Cheryl Thiegs continues to seek and train volunteers to promote continued growth of this ministry. Requirements: Dedication and love for those in need.
